INTRODUCTION
Lighting La Ruelle is an outdoor illumination eBook that focuses on lighting a base scene under very different atmospheric conditions. The tutorial covers how to build a light rig and set up the renderer to portray an environment, which includes fog/mist, sunrise/sunset, moonlight, midday sun and overcast.
Throughout the five chapters Andrzej Sykut provides a step-by-step account of how the scene can be transformed into one of the above environments, encompassing a range of techniques that will present a comprehensive insight into both lighting and rendering exterior scenes.

It's pretty difficult to find a nice V-ray lighting book in general and this book sure does deliver!Value
It's incredibly useful and is something I will definitely keep going back to; it's not a book for people that want to be handheld all the way through it, it encourages you to use your own brains and actually delve in and learn the systematics of V-Ray and that's why I found it fantastic.
Now onto the other aspects of the book, you get a great amount of outdoor lighting varieties, and for the price I would DEFINITELY recommend it! Each lighting scenario looks beautiful and it feels fantastic to have accomplished each chapter with a similar result, it's something you can keep going back to and changing settings to get a slightly different result.
Either way I give this 5 stars, there are few V-Ray lighting books as educational as this! (Posted on 20/09/2012) - It's awesome. Review by Jake

I can honestly say that this product is -well- worth a buy.Value
I've found it very informative and generally, a really interesting read.
The tutorials are aimed at a more experienced Vray user, or at least someone who knows how to setup a scene, but what the tutorials lack in step by steps and setting details, they more than makes up for in explaining techniques and processes.
The photoshop sections are extremely useful, as they show a bunch of clever techniques to push your image to the next level of realism and really get the most out of your render.
I've also enjoyed following the artists thought process, and understanding why things were done the way they were.
Finally, best of all.. after you're done reading the PDF you have a load of max/photoshop files you can dissect to really get most out of your purchase.

Well i cant say im most impressed, but certainly this book covers much what it says. It is not for those who require step by step guide but of more advance level ( require some knowledge of real camera work and lighting).Value
Could have given it 5 stars only if pictures were clear enough to see the settings rather then to import original files to have a look at, one HDR is missing or the name has been changed of HDR within the given texture files :(.
Either way still would recommend for those nice renders :P and techs. (Posted on 09/12/2010)
