INTRODUCTION
This 52-page tutorial series eBook should give you an excellent starting point to get you into the world of ZBrushing. In this series we work our way through the basic process of creating a creature bust, taking it to completion by the last chapter. We start with a ZSphere base mesh and this serves as the starting point for sculpting and finally adding textures. The tutorial series is split into seven chapters so that we can take it at a beginner’s pace and cover as much ground as possible for people totally new to ZBrush.

- Great to get you started. Review by Albert

Fantastic resource that eases you in to zbrush. I was having a lot of trouble getting my head around all the different core concepts in zbrush and this pdf plus the accompanying videos really helped bring all the basic concepts together in a nice clear example that's really easy to follow. Text tutorials are also brilliant because it's so easy to jump around and find the parts that you're keen to learn. Great package. (Posted on 02/05/2013)Value - Excelent... Review by fernandez

I bought this at the same time I began Zbrush classes at school. It gave me an head start on the class and many little tips and tricks that my teacher gave us a lot later. A good reference book for 3D sculpting. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it. (Posted on 03/11/2012)Value - Really solid Review by Christopher

This was really good value for me. Most other "tutorial" videos are sped up to double speed and no matter what narration there is you can't see everything that's going on. Beginners Guide to ZBrush is in real time and is very well narrated, you actually hear what is going on in the artists head as he sculpts and that makes all the difference. I had been looking for this push in the right direction for a while. Zbrush has always scared me. I thought I would never be able to be comfortable with this tool, one that is both so powerful and rich. This intro PDF has somewhat demystified that vision, and I'm happy to now be able to open Zbrush and play with it without being scared! Conveniently the eBook was in PDF format. Downloading the pdf went without error, however downloading the supplementary content was awkward to say the least. Both IE7 and Safari struggled to get the files - in the end I was able to get them using Firefox. That being said, I am extremely pleased with the content of the eBook and the supplementary content too. Each section is explained in a step by step way and this helped me (a novice) quite a lot. The time-lapsed video is a great way to show just what is needed to produce you sculpted end results. The only thing lacking is a real-time narrated video explaining just what is required. I rate this eBook 4, just shy of being excellent without a real-time narrated video.Value

"Just bought and downloaded this ebook. Not sure what happened with Neil but this ebook is in deed a 26mb pdf, and no problems loading it.Value
- explanation and instructions are clear.
- just as the sample pages are shown, the step by step pages are well thought out.
- artistically, the subject matter is good (IMHO).
- if you are a beginner this book will push a head faster."

"There is a lot of good information in the book. The only thing that has put me off is it would have been nice if the figures were more in-line with the instructions. It was a little hard to stumble through some of it; especially with zspheres (which I have never dealt with).Value
I felt it went a little too slow at times and then skipped ahead at other parts as well.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase; just know that the book is the same tutorial that was a series of articles for 3D magazine last year.
I really look forward to more ZBrush specific eBooks! Thanks!"

"IF you have read the previous review that i wrote you might have been a little put off from purchasing this product..Value
I would like to say that the quality of the service that i received after stating this problem was outstanding.. And the quality of the tutorial is second to none.. as it gives full detail of what you need to do to produce quality models using zbrush..
I have suggest to the people at 3Dtotal.. something that they could do to hopefully insure that others don't have the same problem that i have had.
But if you do have the problem of downloading. i would suggest a direct link to the router and disabling your firewalls..
Thanks
3Dtotal.. for yet another great tutorial.. keep em coming.."

"I have only just got this and the first thing that i noticed is that the movie file zip is 1.9 gig.. now i don't currently have the best connection in the world and i am now on my fourth attempt to download the movie..Value
Needless to say i am suprised that the movie files were zipped up into on file considering that they amount to 1.92 gig..
On other tutorials on this site they have contact details of the people responsible, but unfortunatly this one doesn't.. So i am unable to ask the person if they have an ftp site that i cna download the files off in smaller sections..
IF they read this and would like to help me out. my email address is Neil_Farmeruk@hotmail.com
I am currently stuck on 27% complete and an estimated 10hrs and 30mins to go.. it will time out after about 2 guaranteed.. so i doubt i will be able to get the files down.. which is a big shame as basically means i have wasted my money..
thanks
Neil"

Very good value for me and I need tutorials for my indie game making. Because I'm a private person I can’t afford expensive tutorials. So overall I'm happy with this product, and I will buy more at a later date.Value
