INTRODUCTION
This series of ZBrush tutorials orientates around speed and efficiency and how to achieve detailed sculpts within a few hours. Each of the ten chapters focuses on a different character topic ranging from mythical creatures such as the Minotaur and Cyclops, to pirates and monsters. With over seven hours of video footage and covering ninety seven pages this eBook provides an insight into the working methods of eleven professional artists. Each individual showcases their particular approach to the subject and treats us to an exhibition of both the artistic and technical skills that form the backbone of their creative process.
The artists explain the key stages involved in transforming a base mesh into a final design and detail the principal brushes used to sculpt and refine the mesh, as well as the principal tools used to pose the characters.
By encompassing a variety of proven contributors, this eBook offers a comprehensive set of tutorials valuable to both aspiring ZBrush artists and those already familiar with the package.

The eBook was well done with plenty of examples. Couple that with the video downloads and you have great value. This was my first eBook from 3Dtotal but I'm sure it will not be my last. (Posted on 12/02/2013)Value - A wealth of knowledge in this e-book Review by Wally

There were parts of the book where there could have been better pictures or explanations, but overall it is a very well written book and helpful as well. Practice the techniques in this book and they will become second nature to you in no time. (Posted on 04/02/2013)Value - Pictures speak a thousand words Review by Steve

Even though some of the step through sections are a little sparse in terms of text - it is more than made up for by the images of work in progress and sequences. (Posted on 03/12/2012)Value - Great content for a good price Review by GFLK[pik]

I paid about 13.00 USD on this, and man...it's wonderful. Each chapter is in-depth and the models/commentary are all of top-notch quality. I figured it'd be good, but in all honesty it turned out to be more thorough than I expected!Value
This resource is more than just a textbook, too: demonstration files are included, some extras, etc. It's really worth more than the cash it's sold for -- and the fact it's also a direct download was a great convenience, ha. Good deal.

I bought this ebook few months ago and learned a lot from it. I have to say that it was not completely new to me otherwise I would probably got lost... This ebook covers many models, some are more general in their approach while others are focusing on details. You will also get a few videos that will show you really quickly how they did it. I learned how to push my work from beginner to a good level. Now I'm able to do clothes and faces that are a lot more realistic!Value
Every artist should have this book. At this price you can't be disappointed. (Posted on 08/05/2012) - Good Value Review by Christopher

This is not really a complete step by step explanation of how to sculpt the different characters, but more of a generalized view with the key steps or phases of the sculpt explained. That is not to say that I didn't like it. I did. I think there is plenty of good information. You can see how each sculptor approaches the sculpts and how they develop them. Over all I think that this ebook is a very good value. I would recommend it. I like the time-lapsed videos that are available through the links in the ebook as well. Not narrated, but still informative. (Posted on 04/05/2012)Value - Really inspirational, read carefully. Review by Zoltan Suranyi

The tutorials and the models (big up for the talented artists) of this ebook are really inspirational and if you follow the guidelines, carefully read the lessons and try to follow the given instructions WHILE you are watching the videos... well, you have the chance to learn the magic. :) All in all, I am very content with it and planning to order some other products in the near future.Value
(Posted on 25/08/2010) - An excellent quality. Review by Nicholas Schubert
-
The product I received was of an excellent quality. Each section gives you a relatively in-depth guide to the planning and execution of the desired creature sculpt. In addition I found the video components, being separate downloads, to be extremely helpful, documenting almost the whole sculpt start to finish. In all, for the price and content, a fairly useful and worthwhile product.Value
(Posted on 25/08/2010) - I am extremely pleased Review by Antony Kancidrowski

Conveniently the eBook was in PDF format. Downloading the pdf went without error, however downloading the supplementary content was awkward to say the least. Both IE7 and Safari struggled to get the files - in the end I was able to get them using Firefox. That being said, I am extremely pleased with the content of the eBook and the supplementary content too. Each section is explained in a step by step way and this helped me (a novice) quite a lot. The time-lapsed video is a great way to show just what is needed to produce you sculpted end results. The only thing lacking is a real-time narrated video explaining just what is required. I rate this eBook 4, just shy of being excellent without a real-time narrated video.Value

I thought it was informative, but in some sections the information was too generalized. Also looking for images related to different steps on different pages can be cumbersome.Value
