It presents information in an easy to digest manner. It is useful for getting beginners up and running. For the experienced crowd, it's a good reference and provides potentially different approaches.
Often I would find myself at the beginning of a chapter and determining how I would go about doing it. Often I was presented with alternative approaches to my own workflow and even learned a few things.
Definitely recommend. Review by Brock (Posted on 23/09/2016) - Easy to get into, and well written

A very good tutorial book, with easy to follow pictures and explanations. Although not a character designer myself, the tutorials are easy to extrapolate to other forms in order to meet different purposes. It also explains why very knotty forms should be built in a certain way instead of the apparent obvious one so materials can apply correctly. Those details are very rare to find and they are key to understand 3ds Max geometry and final rendering. Review by paulina (Posted on 07/06/2014) - Professionally constructed.

If a person was to complete all chapters of this book they would be well versed/ excel with most things a professional environment would throw at them.
Really lovely material used + images are crystal clear/high rez.
My only gripe would be that the character creation chapter throws you straight into the deep end with the head construction topology; i don't agree with the approach, it's very daunting & tricky at first but gets easier...! Review by Jonathan (Posted on 07/06/2014) - Great Stuff
