“This book enables you to understand the construction of the human body with its easy-to-follow and highly visual features. The coverage is comprehensive, from head to toe. One unique feature is the section on different types of human physique. This makes the book indispensable as you don’t have to second-guess the look of a muscle when stretched or moving into different positions. Anyone who wants to model or sculpt will find the book helpful, as it establishes the basic foundation upon which to build your knowledge of anatomy.”
“Anatomy is easily the most important skill a character artist can invest in. It takes time and dedication and often a lot of research. It’s always a wonderful thing to be able to learn from experienced artists, who are willing to share years of hard work in a simple and approachable way. This book brings those teachers into your home and helps you start building your own knowledge base that will guide you on your path to becoming a better artist.”
“All artists need a deep understanding of the beautiful intricacies of the human anatomy in order to create strong characters that are both believable and aesthetically pleasing. This book takes you on a journey of learning and gives you an excellent insight into the anatomy and movement of the human body, with beautiful drawings, 3D illustrations, model breakdowns and tips.”

“Understanding of the anatomy is essential for creating life-like digital doubles; it is also one of the most complex mechanisms to grasp. Having a good anatomy reference is really the only way for us to interpret what is happening within the body. This book simplifies the tangled ideas of what we imagine the anatomy is to laying out the facts for us to understand.”

- A must have Review by Pierrick
1) The book in itself is very qualitative with a pretty big sized page and a very good quality of glossy paper and printing.
2) There tons of illustrations and clear explanation I believe, affordable for both expert and pure beginners.
3) I felt it was really art orientated wich is really valuable compared to a lot of other anatomy books.
It's been a while since I was so satisfied of a purshased CG oriented book.
And I do believe that it is really affordable compared to most product of this quality. The price/quality rate is one of the best I've ever met. (Posted on 12/02/2016)
- Amazing book. Very few negatives. Review by Rob
I've really only got 2 complaints.
The first, and probably the most important is the lack of a digital version. As much as I love my printed copy, I really would have appreciated a PDF or EPUB version to keep on my iPad. That would have made it a much more convenient desktop reference, as keeping a book open as you work is sometimes a little tricky.
My second, and less critical complaint, is that the color coded illustrations on the gatefold cover are really so convenient that they would have been better off being offered as some sort of tear out reference sheets.
Overall, it's an awesome book that's definitely worth a 5-star rating, minor flaws and all. (Posted on 30/01/2016)

- Best Anatomy Book I've Owned Review by Chadwick
Starts off with 2D, which is a MAJOR plus, laying out all the fundamentals... Then, transitions into 3D, covering multiple approaches to character modeling and retopology.
Also good for plain ole visual references, as it includes a lot of photos. (Posted on 12/01/2016)

- in one word: Awesome! Review by Raf
a feast for the anatomy-hungry mind of an intermediate to professional sculptor as well a feast for the eyes for just about any artist on any level.
The book captured my attention immediately from the very beginning. After an inspiring foreword by Glauco Longhi you plunge into a detailed and precisely drawn overview of proportions, flow and muscle groups. You are then taken through a brief gallery of 2D works accompanied by commentary from their authors before plunging into the sculpting part of the book. The strength of this publication lies in a well coordinated cooperation of multiple talented artists, each giving us their insight on the subject. We are given the opportunity to see various workflows with different approaches, various tips and focal points. This section is followed by the most technical of covered topics - the topology.
I enjoy this book immensely especially the fact that it's part anatomy atlas, part tutorial, part treasure trove of pro tips.
There's also the fact that it's filled to the brim with clear, high quality images (and while I'd love to see some of them larger I certainly appreciate the fact that all this knowledge and all the accompanying illustrations are put together in a practical, compact publication.)
The high res, full page spread prints at the end of the book - the work of yet more extremely talented individuals - are the cherry on top. Each of these hyper realistic sculpts is also printed with color coded muscle overlay on the opposing page.
I'm very happy with my purchase in case it's not clear :-)
