The Beginner’s Guide series is back with a clear and comprehensive look at working in Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Adobe Photoshop Elements is a perfect tool to learn for an artist’s first digital creative adventure, with a simplified interface and fewer variable parameters to learn than its big brother, Photoshop. The Elements version of Photoshop helpfully allows a beginner artist to really focus on the basic tools at hand, honing the fundamental techniques required to build up a usable skill set.
And that’s where the Beginner’s Guide to Digital Painting in Photoshop Elements comes in. The sequel to the bestselling Beginner’s Guide to Digital Painting in Photoshop book, this new title features an array of talented artists that break down a collection of top tips and simple techniques for creating impressive digital paintings. This essential guide offers easy-to-follow steps, from setting up the software to working with brushes, as well as revealing basic art theory and how to paint various artistic styles.

- An excellent book about digital painting. Great for beginners like me Review by pacofraggle
I find this book truly excels at those purposes. As a beginner, I've always been lost at all that and, until now, I hadn't been able to find a reference that allowed me to take that step that leads you from knowing the tool to knowing how to use it to create something artistic.
I received the book two weeks ago and I am already hands on the matter. All those exuberant illustrations are very inspiring. The way topics are explained and organized really encourages you to learn about the topic and try new techniques.
I recommend it to anyone in my situation. I think that this book is great.

I highly recommend this book to beginners and intermediates. I would also like to mention that this book (as the name suggests) is tailored for PS Elements, but everything can be transferred to the full fat version of Photoshop. (Posted on 29/12/2014)
