““When starting to explore any new career path it is good to try out and experiment with as many different methods, ideas, and techniques as you can to see what you like and what works for you. This book is a nice starting point for artists getting into speed painting and gives them a lot of tools, ideas, and resources to bring into their workflow.Ben Mauro

- succinct and full of techniques Review by james
Would give the book 4 and a half stars if the format allowed. The only thing stopping it from being a 5 is a minor and hair splitting gripe. In that, yes it is a book but in this day and age many tutorial publications come with a disc contain videos, brushes etc. I feel this book would have greatly benefited from this to actually see the artists at work. While it may not delivery on its premise of "mastering" speed painting (that comes with practice) it certainly provides probably the best introduction of any non digital tutorial. There's yet another interesting thing about 3dtotal books and this one in particular. We all know of Youtube tutorials and many other free resources helpful for beginners and amateurs. I've got an idea of why 3dtotal books worth the money - getting this one I knew that material has been gathered with care and deep thought. And as I read (and use) these useful practical ideas I see that I was right counting on the publisher's high quality level. Thanks a lot to all who put their work into this book, it's really helpful and - as usual - very pleasing to work with! (Posted on 11/07/2016)

I usually struggle with getting things down quickly and with impact. This book has answered that and more with the work I have done subsequently.
Comparing the new work I am doing to what I did a few months ago it is shocking what I used to think was acceptable. (Posted on 05/07/2016)
- Great product Review by Ignacio
The book itself is of very good quality. The layout makes it very easy to go through. Good size, easy to handle. Its full of little tips and its a great source for getting ideas. The range of artists and styles is also well balanced. I was missing something like this in my library. This book is perfect for getting you into exploring new ideas. (Posted on 29/06/2016)
- A great way to start Review by Rogerio Esteves
The answers are in this amazing book by 3d total,of course.
There are plenty of different ways to speedpaint and they cover a lot of ground on more than 200 pages.I've got my book 3 days ago and I'm already seeing what I did wrong all this time.
This book has 2 hours,1 hour, 30 minutes and even a 10 minute tutorial and although I didn't appreciate this 10 minute one I certainly got crazy for the most of them.
One hour "Night Scene" by Danilo Lombardo, thirty minutes "Letting it flow" by Katie Grierson and the two hours "An unexpected place" by Jesper Friis are my favorites.
Awesome job as usual! (Posted on 26/06/2016)
