Honestly, when I purchased this book I have hoped for some detailed descriptions that would improve my sketching skills. Although it only has tips and brief stories behind the sketches, I am fully satisfied with it. This book is mostly visual collaboration of truly amazing and inspiring art. (Posted on 08/05/2015)

This book is a bit different.
You get to glimpse into sketchbook of artists that work daily on fields of movies, games, print and media.
Seeing the sketches and reading the artists comments gives much more complete view of the creative process that goes in to these illustrations.
Sometimes there is the first idea sketched on the paper, other times you can see the design dead ends that refined what final design should be. There is also just fun doodles without any grand goal .
I really liked this book, it inspired me to pick up pencil and start sketching daily again.
(There is small error that hopefully gets fixed in future editions. Hudley, Sterling Clintons & Larson, Abigails texts are identical) (Posted on 07/11/2013)
