Portraits are one of the most commonly tackled subjects in all forms of art, but they are also one of the easiest forms of art to spot mistakes with. If there is something wrong with a painting of someone's face you will notice it instantly. To avoid falling into this trap many digital artists will paint over a photograph which also leaves tell tale signs. In this eBook our 6 talented artists will talk you through how to use a photo reference to create an interesting portrait of both males and females, and it will even teach you how to paint a caricature. If you are a fan of character work or enjoy painting portraits this is the eBook for you.

When you are so excited about every article in the magazine it is hard to know where to start, but I think I will kick things off by talking about this month's jaw dropping cover image by Serge Birault. Serge has done an outstanding job throughout his Pin Up tutorial series and we have all learnt a lot, but sadly all good things come to an end and in this issue Serge wraps things up in style. I guess it is good to leave on a high and Serge does this with probably my favorite image of the series so far.
